KOSDAQ Technology Listing Route Reaches 300 Companies After 21 Years - Dailian

KOSDAQ's special technology listing route reached 300 companies this month, Korea Exchange said Friday, according to Dailian. The route admits companies through technology reviews and began in March 2005 for the biotechnology industry before expanding to other sectors.

Companies using the route have raised a total of ₩8 trillion through initial public offerings since the program began. Biotechnology companies accounted for ₩4.5 trillion of those funds, and advanced industries represented 88.2% of this year's technology entrants.

Alteogen Inc. (196170) is among the companies that entered KOSDAQ through the route and now ranks first by market value. The company's market capitalisation was ₩20.1 trillion at Friday's close.
