HYBE to hand 24,420 treasury shares to staff as pay

HYBE (352820) said in a filing dated August 25 that its board approved distributing 24,420 treasury common shares, valued at about ₩4.26bn (~$3.1m) at the reference price, to 28 executives and employees as stock-based compensation.

The shares go to one registered in-house executive, one unregistered executive, two executives at affiliated companies and 24 rank-and-file employees who met vesting conditions under HYBE's equity incentive plan. NH Investment & Securities will handle the transfers, moving stock directly from HYBE's treasury account to each recipient's brokerage account between September 1 and November 25.

The shares being distributed trace to a gift from HYBE's controlling shareholder, who donated 738,246 common shares to the company in February and May 2026 specifically earmarked for staff compensation at HYBE and its affiliates; those donated shares are now being paid out in tranches.

The 24,420 shares equal 0.06% of HYBE's shares outstanding, a dilution effect the filing itself calls negligible. The broader treasury retention-and-disposal plan this distribution falls under was approved at HYBE's March 31, 2026 shareholder meeting.

HYBE closed Monday at ₩179,400, near the bottom of its ₩163,000-to-₩404,500 52-week range.
