Hyundai Mobis opens first Europe EV parts plant in Slovakia

Hyundai Mobis opened a new factory in Trenčín, Slovakia that makes electric car motors, inverters, and transmissions. The plant supplies European carmakers that are building electric cars, reported Dailian.

Before this plant opened, Hyundai Mobis only made these electric car parts in Korea. Making parts in Europe cuts shipping costs and delivery time to European customers. Hyundai Mobis already operates battery system factories in Czech Republic and Spain.

Hyundai Mobis is Hyundai Motor Group's parts supplier company. The company makes suspension systems, brakes, lighting, and electronic control systems for Hyundai and Kia vehicles sold worldwide. The European plant helps Hyundai Mobis serve carmakers outside the Hyundai Group.
