KAI wins Korea Coast Guard helicopter order for 2029

Korea Aerospace Industries won a contract to supply one additional search-and-rescue helicopter to the Korea Coast Guard. Delivery is scheduled for the second half of 2029, reported Dailian.

The helicopter is the \"Whensuri\" (KUH-1CG), which is a customized version of KAI's indigenous helicopter platform. The coast guard uses this type for marine rescue, maritime law enforcement, and disaster response missions. Repeat orders from government agencies prove the platform works well and reduce development risk for KAI's future aircraft programs.

Korea Aerospace Industries is South Korea's only domestic aircraft manufacturer. The company produces fighter jets, helicopters, and commercial aircraft components for global partners and customers.
