NAVER Corporation (035420) founder Lee Hae-jin and Brookfield chairman Bruce Flatt discussed a 1 GW AI factory, Yonhap reported Friday. The meeting took place at NAVER's Seongnam headquarters on September 3 and included both companies' senior executives.
Brookfield plans to invest up to $9 billion in the 200 MW first phase. It will also support equipment and infrastructure procurement and customer acquisition, according to NAVER's account of the meeting.
The company's market capitalisation was ₩32.5 trillion at Friday's close. Brookfield manages more than $1 trillion in assets, while the initial factory phase has planned capacity of 200 MW.
