Worker dies at Hyundai E&C Ulsan construction site - Newsis

A worker died after falling at a site operated by Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. (000720), Newsis reported Friday. The accident occurred at the Ulsan Shaheen ethylene facility construction project on September 3.

The worker lost balance while pulling a spray hose from inside a safety railing, according to the initial account. Police and labor officials are investigating, and authorities ordered a partial stop to fireproofing work.

The company's market capitalisation was ₩13.3 trillion at Friday's close. Hyundai E&C reported the fatality to the labor ministry on the day of the accident.
