KIA CORPORATION (000270) sold 34,694 Carnival hybrids during January through August, representing 84.0% of domestic Carnival sales. Newsis reported Friday that the hybrid share rose from 56.3% during the same period a year earlier.
The company sold 56,147 Sorento hybrids during the period, accounting for 82.6% of its domestic Sorento deliveries. HYUNDAI MOTOR CO (005380) recorded hybrid shares of 79.9% for Santa Fe and 72.1% for Palisade sales.
The Carnival range now consists of gasoline and hybrid versions after the company removed its diesel version. The company's market capitalisation was ₩49.4 trillion at Friday's close.
