HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (329180) won a ₩515.4bn order for four LPG carriers from a shipowner based in Oceania, parent HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (009540) said in a filing on Monday.
The contract was signed on 21 August and runs to 31 March 2030. It carries an advance payment, with the balance collected against construction progress. HD Korea Shipbuilding (009540) filed the disclosure because the yard is its subsidiary.
The filing converts the price at the ₩1,393.00 to the dollar quoted on the day of signing, and does not identify the buyer beyond its region.
Set against the yard's own recent output, the order is 8.1% of the ₩6,332.2bn of revenue HD Hyundai Heavy booked in the second quarter of 2026 alone.
Ships are priced when ordered and delivered years later, so the ₩515.4bn is recognised against construction progress through to 2030 rather than on signing.
HD Hyundai Heavy shares closed at ₩457,000 on 28 August, against a 52-week high of ₩745,000.
